Patient questions
Who may be a candidate for PRP?
Adults with a specific joint or soft tissue concern who complete a medical evaluation and have appropriate bloodwork may be considered. Our clinical team decides individually after evaluation.
Understanding this topic
PRP may be considered for adults with a specific joint or soft tissue concern who complete a medical evaluation with our clinical team. Bloodwork screening and a physical examination help determine whether platelet levels are appropriate and whether the condition is one for which PRP is commonly evaluated.
Candidacy is decided individually: PRP is not appropriate for everyone, and certain blood disorders, active infections, or other medical situations can make it unsuitable. The clinical team reviews risks and benefits during the consultation.
It also matters that patients understand what PRP can and cannot do. PRP may help, individual results vary, and patients are expected to follow injection and activity guidance after treatment.

Bloodwork screening
